Is Refacing Right for Your Kitchen?
Refacing works when three things are true: the layout already suits you, the boxes are square and dry, and the shelves are not sagging or delaminated. If any of those fail, you are paying to dress up cabinets that will need replacing anyway.
Water damage under the sink is the most common deal-breaker. We check that base first, along with the dishwasher side panels and any cabinet next to the range. California requires a CSLB license for home-improvement work above $1,000, and a B-2 Residential Remodeling license does not cover substantial changes to major plumbing or electrical systems, so we scope those items separately and coordinate the permit with the City of Anaheim Building Division when one is needed.

How long does kitchen cabinet refacing take?
The on-site work is usually a few days once the doors arrive. Most of the calendar is the order lead time. If you add lighting or other permitted work, the City of Anaheim Building Division inspection is added to the schedule.
Is refacing cheaper than new cabinets?
Usually, because the boxes, layout, and countertops stay in place. The savings disappear if the boxes are damaged, which is why we inspect them first and tell you honestly if refacing is the wrong choice.
Can I keep my countertops when refacing?
Yes, in most cases. The counters stay put while doors, fronts, and veneer are replaced. If the counters are tile from the original Anaheim Hills houses built mostly from the 1970s through the 1990s era, many owners replace them at the same time.
What should I check in the contract?
